Madison Country Day School is nestled on a beautiful
75-acre campus located just northeast of Madison overlooking Lake
Cherokee and the Yahara River. The rolling hills, prairie, woods
and views of the lake make this campus truly remarkable and an
inspiring place to learn. Canoeing and kayaking are offered
as part of the physical education program. Two soccer fields complement
our state-of-the-art track and field facilities that include an
8-lane collegiate track, one triple jump and two shot and discus
areas—sanctioned by the National Federation of State High
School Associations—allowing for the full array of track
and field events.
The MCDS grounds are home to a 47,000 square foot facility that
was designed by noted architect Herb Fritz, a student and close
friend of Frank Lloyd Wright.
Step inside and you’ll find
classrooms and laboratories for science, foreign languages, and
art and music (including large and small practice rooms) as well
as a swimming pool.
