Welcome new students and families to MCDS and to kindergarten! I have been teaching kindergarten at MCDS since 2004. Since receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2000, I have had the pleasure of teaching in a variety of public and private schools in the US: 2nd grade in Hawaii, preschool in North Carolina, and kindergarten in Wisconsin.I was married right here on the beautiful campus of MCDS on August 21, 2005! I enjoy teaching at MCDS with some of the most talented teachers in the nation and know that you will find that our school is truly an inspirational, one of a kind environment! At school this year I am also involved in many extra activities like the Variety Show, volleyball, and Field Day.
My professional development credits include brain based learning, natural resources, 6 +1 Traits, differentiation strategies, CPR and First Aid to name a few. In addition, I enjoy coaching and participating in volleyball, playing golf, biking, traveling, knitting, camping and growing my “Ott’s Shots” photography business.
