Financial Aid

Bringing Tuition into Reach through Need-Based Financial Aid Assistance

As parents, you must find the right match for your child. Together we’ll find opportunities to make a Madison Country Day School a financial reality for well-qualified applicants.

While parents are responsible for making a financial commitment to the school community, need-based financial aid is available to assist families with bringing an independent education at MCDS into reach.

A wide range of families, including those with multiple children, may qualify for financial aid. We encourage all families to apply.

Financial aid is available to students in Kindergarten – grade 12, and is awarded on an annual basis. Our financial aid program helps us enroll a well-qualified, diverse student body. The school’s generous financial aid budget averages 15 percent of the yearly operating budget, and aid awards typically range from $500 to over $10,000. If you indicate an interest in financial aid, we will send you the appropriate Financial Aid for School Tuition for Financial Aid forms, or you can access the forms online at the FAST website.

The MCDS admissions process is need-blind; your family’s financial aid application has no bearing on admissions. The school seeks funding from donors for the endowment of additional scholarships, with the ultimate goal of supporting the entire demonstrated need of our applicants.

Financial aid is a confidential process.

Merit Scholarships Recognize Excellence and Character in High School Students
High School applicants and students can also apply for an MCDS merit scholarship. Merit scholarships are awarded to students demonstrating academic excellence, personal responsibility, independence, personal integrity, and citizenship. The scholarships, in conjunction with the school’s financial aid program, help students preparing for academics, careers, and life in an increasingly globalized future.
