International Students

Madison Country Day School (MCDS) welcomes international students in grades 9-12 from all over the world to enhance a globally-diverse student body.

Our faculty, students, and school community as a whole value the opportunity to learn about new cultures and gain fresh perspectives. International students at MCDS will advance their critical thinking, gain fluency in English, and experience an academically rigorous, college preparatory education.

MCDS is focused on helping each student find several “best match” colleges by offering enriching experiences that will help students choose a career path and pursue their personal interests. Personalized college advising starts in ninth grade. Students work with our college advisor who facilitates the college application and decision-making process.

Our alumni have been accepted to top colleges and universities including the University of Chicago, Columbia University, Yale University, New York University, Arizona State University/Barrett Honors College, and Lawrence University and Conservatory. All MCDS graduates have been accepted into best-match colleges, and 95% of our graduates have been offered merit aid awards that average $20,000 to $25,000 and are renewable for four years. Check this college list to see where our students have been accepted.

All international students must have a good command of English to be an active, successful student in all classes and activities.

Please Note: For admission purposes, an international student is one who is not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and is on a temporary visa or require a visa to study in the United States.
