Athletics Volunteer Opportunities
It takes a great deal of effort to help run successful athletic events at MCDS, and we have so many dedicated volunteers to thank for their commitment. If you would like to volunteer for MCDS Athletics, click here to sign up for an upcoming event.
Come join us on Wednesday, March 5th for Tennis Night at MCDS. From 4:00-6:00 PM come to the gymnasium to participate in fun games of tennis while also learning more about our new tennis initiative. Tom Chorney of Cherokee Country Club (Director of Tennis) and Erika Wentz of the USTA (Midwest Rep) will be on hand to help answer questions in regard to MCDS’ new partnerships with these organizations. Next year MCDS will be hosting MS level USTA tennis teams, so come grab a racket and have some fun. MCDS will also have a tennis open house at Cherokee CC on Saturday, March 15th from 3:30-5:30 PM. At this open house, we will have three tennis courts reserved for MCDS families to come and have fun playing tennis at Cherokee. This is also a great opportunity for our families to see the facilities in which we will be hosting our tennis teams.
Madison Country Day has recently formed a partnership with the Westside Lacrosse Club which allows our MS and HS student-athletes to participate in the great sport of lacrosse. Westside Lacrosse offers recreational lacrosse for boys and girls at the MS level and competitive lacrosse for both boys and girls at the HS level. For more information about this lacrosse opportunity, please talk directly with Mr. Clements or go to the Westside Lacrosse Webpage.
