MCDS Summer Camp a Success!
The 2010 MCDS Summer Camp has received rave reviews from our enthusiastic campers, who have clearly demonstrated that learning is great fun! The first session of camp had more than 50 students in attendance, with approximately 40 children in sessions two and three. MCDS Summer Camp offers a unique blend of light academics and indoor/outdoor active fun as well as exciting explorations in the fields of science, nature, art, and world cultures. Kudos to Camp Director Jana Martin and her staff of teachers and camp counselors for a job well done!

The Difference One Can Make!
Please click Here for a letter from Lynn Kaminski, the new Box Tops Coordinator at MCDS. With Box Tops for Education, each eligible box top you clip is worth 10 cents for our school. If each MCDS family turned in just 100 box tops during the year, we'd achieve our goal of $2,000. Just think of all the ways that money could help our school and students!
So please start clipping—and encourage your extended family and friends to do the same! Click Here for a list of eligible products, which include Cheerios and other cereal; Betty Crocker desserts; Progresso soups; Yoplait Kids yogurt; Ziploc storage bags; Hefty trash bags; Cottonelle bath tissue; Huggies diapers and other products; Kleenex tissue; Avery school supplies; and much more!
Please visit the Box Tops for Education website for information on current bonus opportunities, including the chance to win 500,000 bonus box tops—which would equal $50,000—for MCDS! The more families that participate, the better our chances of winning! As they say, you can't win if you don't play!
From the Box Tops website's homepage, you can also click through and shop online at more than 100 retailers and earn up to 15% of your purchase total for our school. To earn an additional 2% cash back for MCDS on Lands' End purchases (in addition to the 3% earned as a Preferred School), go to the Box Tops website and then to "Shop Marketplace" (on the menu under "Earn"). From there, click on "Shop and Earn" and then click on the Lands' End logo. If purchasing school uniforms, be sure to select MCDS as your Preferred School before placing your order.
