I hope your child is ready for some fun next Friday, February 10th! The Valentine’s Day Middle School Social will be from 6-8, immediately following the Dodgeball Event of the Year happening from 5-6. Based on student feedback, we wanted to make sure our social had something for everyone – and because dodgeball is such a hit, we decided to separate it off into its own tournament! Students who would like to play dodgeball, or come to cheer on the dodgeball players, are welcome to arrive at 5. There will be a double elimination tournament, teams will be assigned upon arrival, and the games will begin promptly at 5:10 and end at 6. From 6-8, students are welcome to eat and drink (we are hoping to have enough juice and soda donations to have a great flavor mashup beverage bar), play board games in the art room, watch a movie in the lounge, or dance the night away in the gym with the help of Primetime Mobile, our DJ for this event. I have attached a permission slip to this email, and hard copies will be distributed to the students during advisory this week. Please encourage your child to return them as soon as possible, along with $7 (which covers admission to one or both events).
