Room Parent
 

Ideally, each classroom will have two room parents. The room parents act as liaisons between the faculty, parents, and students. Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Attend all Parent Guild meetings. At least one room parent from each grade should be present at each meeting.
  2. Collect Parent Guild Volunteer sign-up forms at the beginning of the year; these forms will ask parents in your child's class to select which events they can help with throughout the year.
  3. Bring ideas, suggestions or concerns from faculty and parents to Guild meetings.
  4. Coordinate the following events:
         a. Faculty appreciation for a specified month
         b. Class Halloween party
         c. December holiday party
         d. Holiday season homeroom teacher gift
         e. Valentine's Day party
         f. End of year homeroom teacher gift
         g. End of year class contribution to faculty/staff appreciation week
         h. Chaperones / drivers for class trips
         i. Teacher requests for classroom assistance
