At MCDS, our admissions process reflects our commitment to each student as we gather a “portfolio of the whole child” which includes:

  • Complete Online Application Form and Submit Application Fee ($100.00)
  • Submit Grade Reports (Previous two years)
  • Submit Teacher Recommendation
  • Submit Recent Standardized Test Results
    Schedule MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing with enrollment office if needed.
  • Schedule Class Visit.
    Visitors enjoy meeting new friends and learning about the MCDS community.

    Please have your child write a one-page response to the below essay question. Your child may handwrite or type their essay. When the essay is complete upload their essay to their application progress page in OnCampus to add it to their application file. We look forward to reading their insights!

    Please have your child choose one of the following essay topics and have them type a one-to-two page response.  Please upload their completed essay to their application progress page in OnCampus. We look forward to reading their insights!

    1. From what life experience have you learned the most and why?
    2. “Effort is generally more important than ability.” Share whether you agree with this statement, and why.
    3. What is the most difficult  obstacle you have ever experienced? What did you learn from this?
    4. Share one way that you are involved with your community and describe its impact on you.
    5. If you were lost on a desert island with only one item, what would it be and why?
  • Complete online application with foreign address and US address
  • Submit application fee of $300 USD
  • Submit teacher recommendation (both original copy and translated copy)
  • Submit school grade reports for past two years (both original copies and translated copies)
  • Submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores
  • Submit standardized testing results
  • Schedule Skype interview
  • Complete writing sample
  • Complete math assessment
  • Submit copy of passport
  • Submit letter from parents expressing why they would like their child to attend MCDS
  • Submit declaration of finances/bank statement
  • Submit proof of medical insurance
  • Submit medical and vaccination information
  • Submit guardian information

What happens next?

The MCDS enrollment office will work closely with you on your child’s application. Once complete, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
