Sophomore Student’s Blog Records Arctic Adventure

While online publications written by High School sophomores are certainly not in short supply, Aiden Campbell ’16 has a topic that elevates her blog to a truly rarified level. In the summer of 2013, Aiden took her first of several trips to the far northern reaches of the Alaskan wilderness, 130 miles above the Arctic Circle, with the most recent trip ending in mid-December. While such a trip is certainly no mean feat in its own right, Ms. Campbell elected to take the extra step of keeping an excellently written record of her journey.  If you’re looking for a good read that will take your mind off  the Wisconsin cold, head over to Aiden’s blog at, and you’ll soon find that in the face of -38˚F in a 10′ x 10′ tent, winter here in Madison doesn’t seem quite so bitter after all.
