Stretching to Discover New Strengths in a Supportive Environment
MCDS cross country practices are held on the beautiful trail system at MCDS and the team competes against other public and private schools within Southern Wisconsin. We host two middle school meets at MCDS, as well as compete in some off-site meets to expose our middle school runners to what high school cross country entails.
The girls volleyball program consists of grade level teams that play in the MAISL (Madison Area Independent Sports League). Practices are held at MCDS during the week and games are played on various Saturdays and Sundays.

The boys and girls basketball program consists of grade level teams that play games around the Greater Madison Area as part of the MAISL (Madison Area Independent Sports League). All practices and home games are held at MCDS. Games are played on various Saturdays and Sundays.

Spirit Squad, Boys and Girls
The spirit squad consists of MS and HS students who generate school spirit and perform at various athletic department activities including home varsity basketball games. The spirit squad is a combination of traditional cheerleading and poms.
MCDS Offers recreational opportunities for our student-athletes to learn more about and participate in the great sport of rowing. All of our team practices occur at MCDS on the Yahara River. The team has a partnership with Mendota Rowing Club to assist with coaching needs and other amazing Madison area rivers and lakes.

Track and Field, Boys and Girls
The track and field team practices and competes on our track at MCDS. The team competes against other local private middle schools within the Madison area. We do our best to not only host meets, but also travel to away meets to give our student athletes a taste of what competing at the high school level looks and feels like.

The MCDS middle school soccer team partners with our local Wisconsin RUSH Soccer club, competing with other teams in the area.
MCDS Athletics is proud to announce Spring USTA Team Tennis this spring, coed ages 11-14. Instruction will be offered Friday afternoons in April and USTA competition will be Friday afternoons in May. This is open to all students in grades 5-8.
