MCDS Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
Madison Country Day School respects, affirms, and protects the dignity and worth of each member of its community. We seek to establish a diverse and inclusive culture wherein every member feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive in all aspects of the MCDS community and beyond.
As an International Baccalaureate World School, we continue to provide curriculum that values and embraces Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. Additionally, the aim of the IB Learner Profile character education program is to develop internationally minded students who recognize their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, helping to create a better and more peaceful world. We take pride in developing balanced, principled, open-minded, caring, reflective, courageous students who think astutely, and are exceptional, empathetic communicators and engaged global citizens.
As members of the MCDS community, we understand that we will make mistakes and will learn from them together. We seek both grace and truth. To this end, we encourage and facilitate meaningful conversations to promote greater connections and understanding amongst members of our community and with the world beyond.
MCDS works to promote an equitable and affirming climate of emotional and physical safety. Our MCDS community is deeply committed to ensuring that all of our members are honored, valued, and supported.
