Our top priorities:

People

Goal: $100,000

Faculty excellence is the number one ingredient for a successful school.

Help MCDS attract, retain, and support our greatest asset: our teachers. This fund supports faculty professional development, our Leadership Fellows program, and our effort to raise faculty and staff salaries and benefits.

Place

Goal: $100,000

Staying on the leading edge of technology and facilities is essential for delivering the highest quality education in today’s world.

Help MCDS upgrade software, hardware, infrastructure, and facility improvements that will enhance the student learning experience.

Program

Goal: $100,000

Forward-thinking curriculum and an environment of community members with different backgrounds and perspectives are key to developing the world’s future leaders, critical thinkers, and compassionate lifelong learners.

Help MCDS continue to develop our outstanding educational programming that delivers academic excellence and offer it to more families through our need-based financial aid and merit scholarships.

Why is the MCDS Fund necessary?

MCDS Revenue Sources . . .

Independent schools like ours rely on different funding sources than public, parochial, or charter schools. Older independent institutions also tend to have large endowments to fall back on in financial downturns. For MCDS, most, but not all, operating revenue comes from tuition and fees (90%). The balance comes primarily from fundraising, including the MCDS Fund.

Your gift brings the transformative power of an MCDS education to life. All donors are recognized in the online MCDS annual report, unless you elect to make an anonymous gift.

Donors who make gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized as members of the Yahara Society and are welcomed each year at a special celebration of their leadership giving.

Remember: There are many ways to give, including donating or pledging online, sending in a check, setting-up recurring monthly donations through a credit card or the school’s billing program, or gifting stock (which allows donors to get a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock and avoid capital gain from selling the securities.)

MCDS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; all donations made to MCDS are tax-deductible. The school’s FEIN is 39-1832986.
